02:28 LELE TALK is a channel designed for parents around the world to help their children learn Chinese well

02:44 This episode is about Candy, a teacher who returned to Taiwan from the United States. She created a language environment at home and led countless families to learn Chinese.

04:03 How did Candy start teaching children Chinese?

05:26 When the children were 5 and 1 years old, they moved to the United States with their parents.

05:45 I first tried a Chinese school, and the classes were 3 hours long, which was too long for a 5-year-old child, and I was not satisfied with the teaching content.

06:17 After thinking about it, I started to learn Chinese at home by myself until my child entered university.

06:47 When the children were in high school, Teacher Cindy had some experience teaching Chinese and taught Chinese in a private school.

07:40 The children were in school for two and a half years (the oldest was in grades XNUMX to XNUMX, and the second was in kindergarten to grade XNUMX)

I took my child back to Taiwan for two semesters to attend elementary school (fifth grade and first grade) and observed how the school taught the child.

09:16 Before returning to Taiwan to attend elementary school, I always asked my children to "write" in the traditional way.

12:19 The child enters the fifth grade and likes going to school very much

13:10 In terms of study, the children found that students from Taiwan learn more solidly

14:30 I go back to Taiwan for 2 months almost every year, and my children have found the purpose of learning Chinese🌟

16:20 International school teaching experience, the goal is to make three-year-old students not hate Chinese and continue to learn it

17:30 ① Build children’s sense of achievement

18:25 ② In life (hearing, seeing), try to use the same sentence pattern so that children can hear it many times

19:40 Share the video to encourage other families to continue using Chinese and identify with their own culture while learning Chinese🌟

20:44 How to use [LeLe Listening and Reading Series]? Red, yellow and green books, children learn Chinese naturally🌟

21:10 [LeLe Listening and Reading Series] 10 minutes a day to go from not knowing Chinese to being able to read independently [Secret Weapon]🌟

22:10 After attending elementary school in Taiwan and returning to the United States to attend classes, Cindy completely changed her approach.

22:54 Cindy's goal for her children to learn Chinese:

① Don’t expect your child to read novels, but rather expect your child to use Chinese

②Children can learn independently

23:15 Give your child a daily homework schedule

The textbooks are for grades 4 to 6 of Taiwan elementary schools.

The children continued to study the fourth to sixth grade content until high school, and kept alternating.

When I return to Taiwan, I buy new textbooks for grades 4 to 6. They are new to my children.

25:50 Cindy gives her children homework (writing, reading) that can be completed in 10-15 minutes

27:05 Share the words that touched you in the video with other families learning Chinese. Language is not just a tool, it is love and connection.
