Why I chose to accompany my child on this Chinese reading journey
Today I want to share a little bit of my story with you.
If you have been following me for a while, you will find that I often share my children’s Chinese reading routine, the LeLe reading pen, or the moments we read together every day.
But maybe you don’t know—At the beginning, I didn’t have the confidence that I could teach my children to read in Chinese.
We live overseas, my Chinese is not the most standard, and I am not a teacher.
I am just a mother, and at first I just hoped that my child could have "a better sense of language."
Unexpectedly, this small starting point slowly turned into a journey that affected our entire family.

I don’t want my children to think that Chinese is just homework or only related to stress.
I hope they will feel that: "Chinese is a part of my life, I like it, and I can master it."
This is the beginning of our choice of [LeLe].
Not for the exam, but for the children
"Read with joy, recognize words naturally, and develop a deep sense of language."
Now, a few years later, I see my kids:
✨ Take the initiative to take out the book and read it
✨ Started asking me "What does this word mean?"
✨ Start telling your younger siblings, "I know this, I'll read it to you!"
I want you to know:
All this is not because I teach well.
It’s because we have always been “walking this path”.
Not fast, not perfect,
But - it's real, warm, and connected.
If you have ever doubted whether you have done enough, whether you have missed the golden period,
Should we be more "professional"?
What I want to say is:
You are already great.
What children need is not a perfect language environment.
It is aYou who are willing to open books with him, be curious and laugh together every day.
💛 If you want to hear more about how we use Lele, you are also welcome to reply or send me a private message;
💛 If you are also willing to share your Chinese learning story, I am looking forward to hearing your voice.
Let us walk together with our children on this path of "loving Chinese".
Let’s raise children who are willing to study, not just those who can take exams.
We are on the road, and we have each other.
